"Can't Help But Wait"

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. James 1:4>

Recently, I heard this song R&B song by Trey Songz called "Can't Help But Wait". In this song, he is singing about how he is hoping for an opportunity with this young lady who at the time, has a boyfriend. He talks about how he will be better, do better, and love her better than the man that is in her life at the time. So he sings on how he "cant help but wait" until that time comes.

In James 1:3-4, the scripture lets us know that we must...absolutely must, have patience in this life. Like the scripture says, if we wait patiently for God, we won't want for anything. The problem is...we usually DO NOT wait patiently for God and do our own thing. And in doing our own thing, we can bring upon ourselves a lot of unnecessary pain, hurt, confusion and most of all.... emptiness. I am sure that God has spoken many things into our lives; things He is going to do, things that He is going to deliver us from, things He is going to bless us with, and we may wonder, when is it ever going to happen. A day passes, a month passes, a year passes, a few years pass and we begin to doubt God. We begin to do things our way. Then that is where we mess up. We MUST utilize patience in order to receive all that God has for us.

As hard as it may be, let us be like the person in the song and "Cant help but wait" for what God has for us in this life. It is only through Him where can have that ultimate opportunity and ultimate fulfillment in our lives.
